Issues Encountered when Running Slickr Flickr

Red BugThis section contains reports of issues associated with Slickr Flickr itself, the interaction of Slickr Flickr with other plugins or problems arising due to the interaction of Slickr Flickr with the theme.

The following table may help with diagnosing problems

Symptom Probable Cause Action More
Broken Image Links Website is running PHP 4 Upgrade your website to PHP 5 Broken Links Example
Photos missing Flickr has not made photo public yet Follow the checks at the more link, clear RSS cache, wait until Flickr is ready to serve your photo – it will turn up eventually even if you do nothing Missing Photos Example
LightBox not working LightBox conflict (more then one installed), jQuery conflict( more than one version of jQuery installed), JavaScript error View your page source to ensure only one LightBox is installed, ste the correct LightBox option in Slickr Flickr Admin settings, check source to ensure only one version of jQuery is installed. The conflict may be with another plugin or the theme so trying temporarily switching the theme to Twenty Ten to see it problems still remains, if is does then try deactivating a plugin one at a time until it starts working again. LightBox Example
Badly formatted gallery Theme CSS is overriding the Slickr Flickr plugin CSS Add more specific elements to the theme css to suppress the theme’s default formatting (e.g If the theme places bullets before all list then you would add an element with .slickr-flickr-gallery in the element path that did not include bullets CSS Example
