Galleria Premium Theme Users Only

Users using premium galleria themes will need to relocate their themes file to a new location outside the plugins folder. We suggest using galleria/themes and also making sure this location is not writable by your web server for sake of security. You should move your premium galleria themes before you upgrade as WordPress will wipe out any themes it finds in the under the plugins directory whenever that plugin is upgraded.

All Free Slickr Flickr Users

The free version of Slickr-Flickr can be found on the WordPress plugins directory

All Slickr Flickr Pro Users

You cannot run both Slickr Flickr and Slickr Flickr Pro on the same site at the same time; one needs to be activated and the other deactivated, or preferably not present at all.

Slickr Flickr Pro Downloads

Firstly, many apologies for the inconvenience of having to go through this upgrade procedure. Any future upgrades of Slickr Flickr Pro will be a single click exercise as before.

The Pro edition, which requires a license key for activation can be downloaded below:

New Installation

1. Click the link above to download the plugin to your local computer
2. On your WordPress site go to Plugins and click Add New, then select Upload.
3. Browse to the zip file on your computer and Upload
4. Activate the plugin in your WordPress plugins control panel
5. Go to the Settings section, and choose Slickr Flickr
6. Type In your Flickr ID (it should look something like 12345678@N00) and then click the Save button- this will give you normal operation
7. To enable the bonus features you will need to enter your license key – for this login in to the Slickr Flickr Pro membership site and then copy and paste your license key.

Upgrading to Slickr Flickr Pro

1. If you are already running the Slickr Flickr free edition or Slickr Flickr Pro then deactivate it first and then delete it
2. Click the link above to download the plugin to your local computer
3. On your WordPress site go to Plugins and click Add New, then select Upload.
4. Browse to the zip file on your computer and Upload
5. Activate the plugin in your WordPress plugins control panel
6. Go to the Settings section, and choose Slickr Flickr Pro
7. All your settings will be copied across automatically from Slickr Flickr to Slickr Flickr Pro. It is important however you press the Save Changes button to save the settings even if you have not changed them as the plugin has some new default settings.
8. If you have bought premium galleria themes then you will need to provide their location in the Galleria Section of the Slickr Flickr Pro Admin page

Winter Release

To avoid any confusion between the free version of Slickr Flickr and the paid version of Slickr Flickr which offers priority support and bonus features, Slickr Flickr Pro will be renamed to Slickr-Pix later this year.

In conjunction with this, it will be expanded to be able to source photos from more than just Flickr, so will be able to display photos from Picasa, Amazon S3 and the media library.
